The Power Options Properties screen will appear. Click the UPS tab. The Power Options Properties screen will appear

similar to the screen capture down below (on the left).

2) Press the ‘Select...’ button to proceed to the UPS Selection screen (shown below, right)

3) On the UPS Selection screen specify "Generic" as the manufacturer type. Next, click on “Custom” in the ‘Select

model:’ field, then proceed to choose the appropriate COM port. Be sure to specify the correct COM port; failure to

specify the correct port may result in a bootup>shut down loop that will require booting into safe mode to correct. Note

that ‘COM1’ in the sample screen below is only an example and may not be correct for your system.

Press ‘Next >‘ when you are finished with your selection. The UPS Interface Configuration screen will appear (shown

next page).
